ICC is pleased to welcome students in the Medical Coder Program for Fall 2016! Students in the Medical Coder Program complete 27 hours of coursework at ICC in order to earn a certificate. Upon completion, graduates can expect to be employed in a variety of settings, such as hospitals, physician offices, billing services and insurance companies. The program can be completed in approximately three semesters. Graduates have the option to take the certification exam offered by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) to obtain entry- and advanced-level credentials. For more than a decade, the Italy travel study trip has been a cornerstone of Lewis University Study Abroad program. A group of students from Lakeview College of Nursing will participate in teaching at Cross Point: Women's Shelter (YWCA) on Wed., April 8 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The information will focus on sexually transmitted infection prevention and family planning. The students recognized a need after noticing a high rate of STIs and teen pregnancy within Vermilion County, IL.
